ABOUT KERRY - CAREER HIGHLIGHTS - KERRY'S STORY - TEAM USA BLOG
Kerry Weiland is the founder and principal instructor at Weiland Hockey Development. After growing up in Palmer, Alaska, she attended the University of Wisconsin (1999-2003) on a full athletic scholarship. She was Wisconsin's first women's hockey first-team All-American,first team All-Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), with many other all-star honours. Kerry was a member of the 2010 U.S. Olympic Women’s Ice Hockey Team, winning a silver medal at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada. Kerry was also a member of the 2008 and 2009 Gold Medal World Championship Teams. She was also a member of Team USA's Inline Team, winning gold medals at the 2006 and 2007 World Inline Championships.
As a dominant force in the National Women’s Hockey League Kerry has also played for the Edmonton Chimos (2003-04), Brampton Thunder (2004-05), Etobicoke Dolphins (2006-07), and Vaughan Flames (2007-2008). Kerry played professionally in Switzerland for Lyss and was assistant coach of the Swiss Women’s Under-18 National Team.
